The Music Tree Prep School is excited to welcome Sinella Aghasi Moshabad, a violinist, music educator, and arts administrator, to its faculty. Miss Sinella is currently an LSU Doctor of Musical Arts candidate under the direction of Espen Lilesllatten majoring in Violin Performance with a minor in Arts Administration.
Miss Sinella was accepted into the music high school of Tehran-Iran at 11 and earned her diploma in music specializing in the violin with a minor in voice. She has performed in different countries and cities as a violinist and vocalist.
Miss Sinella won the first place in the International Christian Music Festival in 2010. She joined Sigma Alpha Iota, the international music fraternity in 2011, and served as the musicale chair. Sinella was chosen as the outstanding student of the year from the California State University Stanislaus Music Department she was also awarded the scholarship of the Special Talent from the Assyrian American Association of Southern California in 2011
She graduated from CSU Stanislaus, Magna Cum Laude, in 2014. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Instrumental Music Education and Violin Performance and a master’s degree in violin performance from Francisco School of Music and Dance where she was the recipient of a full scholarship.
As an active performer, Miss Sinella plays with several local orchestras including the Baton Rouge Symphony, Acadiana Symphony, Rapides Symphony, Lake Charles Symphony, and Golf Coast Symphony. She previously performed in different orchestras including the Townsend Opera Orchestra and with the Mesopotamia Orchestra as a soloist in 2014.
Miss Sinella is an active performer with a strong passion for teaching. She is a violin instructor at the Music Tree and Kid’s Orchestra. Her previous music education roles have included teaching at the CSUS Summer Music Camp, serving as assistant conductor of Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra, and serving as the violin instructor at the Healing Nation, a non-profit Christian-based organization dedicated to the growth and development of at-risk youth in Modesto, Calif.
