A wonderful school year is coming to a close, but the musical magic need not end. Your children can continue their orchestra development in a week-long camp for beginning to advanced string musicians who play violin, viola, bass, or cello. Students should know how to play their instrument, but previous private lessons or the ability to read music is not a requirement.
The Music Tree is located at 4833 Church St. in downtown Zachary. The top-notch faculty under the direction of Dr. Thais Perkins present music in inspiring and fun ways. The pleasant environment at the school contributes to learning and achievement, while enthusiastic students and teachers ensure everyone has a good time. String camp registration fees are $350 for all students.
Our Breakthrough Week teaching faculty will include Ruth Roland and Unusdián Errandonea.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 28- June 1 and will include:
- Large ensemble
- Small ensemble
- Private lessons
- Snack time
Students should bring their instrument and lunch each day.
